The Golfing Machine

Peter Croker's search for his swing system has been a fascinating journey that has included a detailed study of Homer Kelley's book -The Golfing Machine.

In fact he has a Master Instructor (G.S.E.M.) Level Qualification in Golfing Machine Technology and has continued studying the works of Homer Kelley since 1979. His respect for those who undertake a study of Homer's work is high as it takes much persistance to gain the understandings as presented in the Golfing Machine.

A long affiliation and warm friendship with famed Authorised Instructor Tom Tomasello (G.S.E.D.) lead to a unique insight into the development and continuing revision of The Golfing Machine book itself by Home Kelley and his search for a more simple way to communicate what was written within The Golfing Machines 240 plus pages.

Homer died on stage in the presence of Tom Tomasello while giving a presentation to PGA professionals in Macon, Georgia and his mission had been to make his works more understandable to all golfers.

Peter's education in The Golfing Machine has included discussions and lessons with luminory Authorised Instructors such as Ben Doyle, Paul Hart, George Kellenhoffer, Bobby Clampet, Randy Henry, Gary Schaal, and many others.

Peter and Tom Tomasello conducted a series of Golfing Machine Schools throughout Australia in 1989 and the concepts of this time were videotaped as a lesson series. Tomasello was very close to Homer Kelley and they had regular phone calls to discuss various aspects of the Golfing Machine and how to interperet the correct meanings as written. Tom taped these converstions, and Peter Croker has studied these audio tapes in depth to better understand what Homer was communicating. Homer was deeply concerned that his works be correctly understood and his later work was in the direction of clarity of his findings.

However, understanding clearly the terms and definitions in TGM has always been somewhat of a stumbling block in establishing its wider acceptance. Homer Kelley did suggest it would be best understood with the help of his Authorised Instructor network and this remains to be so.

To facilitate this better understanding of The Golfing Machine principles we will be very shortly presenting a series of downloadable video explanations conducted by Peter Croker(G.S.E.M.) and Paul Hart (G.S.E.D.).

Paul Hart is the doyen of The Golfing Machine Instructors in Australia. He has been directly responsible fo the growth of Authorised Instructors of The Golfing Machine in Australia and has the respect of all who have had the chance to work directly with him. He has studied Homer's works for more than 30 years and has tested many ways to teach the Golfing Machine principles. He now has what could be considered a most simple way to apply The Golfing Machine to help a golfer improve in a short time.

We look forward to bringing to light the many valid components that continue to influence current golf instruction - as Homer tells us in his introduction, "Demanding that golf instruction be kept simple does not make it simple - only incomplete and ineffective."
